Working with women and youth to strengthen their roles in climate-resilient food systems. Facilitating farmer cooperatives and knowledge-sharing platforms to spread best practices.

Supporting Small-Scale Farmers in Accessing Markets

Empowerig small-scale farmers by bridging the gap between their produce and viable markets. Facilitating connections between farmers and buyers, including local, rmarkets. Training farmers in value addition, packaging, and quality standards to meet market demands.

Advocating for Women’s Land Rights Among Small-Scale Farmers

Promote gender equity in agriculture by advocating for women's land rights. Women play a critical role in small-scale farming, yet they often face systemic barriers to land ownership and control, limiting their ability to contribute fully to agricultural productivity and economic growth. FNSA believe that secure land rights for women are essential to achieving sustainable development, reducing poverty, and ensuring food security.

Awareness Raising

Educating communities about the importance of women's land rights and their impact on household and community well-being. Engaging with governments and Traditional Leaders to promote reforms that ensure equitable land ownership.

Capacity Building

Training women farmers in land management, negotiation, and leadership to empower them to advocate for their rights.

A Few words about us

Farmers Network South Africa (FNSA) is a registered non-profit organization, established in 2015 under the Department of Social Development. Operating in the Eastern Cape, within the Alfred District Municipality. We are working to address food insecurity through innovative agricultural practices and community-led solutions. Our focus is on creating sustainable food gardens that empower individuals and communities to grow their own food, improve nutrition, and build resilience against food shortages.
